Mother's Day, Car Washing and some Randomness

 

We had a box from BJ's leftover, and shortly before bedtime this little guy climbed in it. I love it. Everything is a toy.  If only we could get rid of the binky!

 

I found this Vanilla Bean Paste at Market Basket and tried it and I really love it!  It's the same ratio as vanilla but I think it has way more vanilla in it. If that makes sense!

 

For Mother's Day we took Donovin to Funtown and oh what Fun we had.  It was super cheap. $22 for all of us. Although we probably spent double that on food!  Jesse was super sick that morning almost backed out but he rallied and amazingly once we started walking around he felt better. 

 Daddy took Donovin on the airplane ride. Donovin loved it!

 Look at the tongue stick out. Push the bar out to go up and pull it in to come down! Future pilot on our hands?

Woohoo I'm the tallest Eaton! Donovin loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders. I (mom ) still get nervous cause these two rough house day in a day out and I'm afraid Donovin is going to through himself back and daddy won't be prepared for it. It's probably as likely as a Dinosaur coming through town, but stranger things have happened.

Then Donovin went on boats. I was hesistant to let him on because there were NO seatbelts. Thankfully this mother said Donovin could sit next to her son who was a bit older than Donovin. Donovin did awesome on the boat. He rang the bell kept his arm on the side of the boat like he was super cool. Okay who's kidding he is super cool!

 

This bear is a new ride at Funtown. It's purpose is to do NOTHING! But Donovin thought it was the most amazing thing ever. He liked to ride it and look at it!

Mom attempted a ride. The carrousel with Donovin. He liked it although it was a bit loud!

Straws, Tattoo's and standing on the counter. That's my little boy. Daddy decided to give Donovin a temporary tattoo. Then Donovin loved being up on the counter and putting straws in his mouth!

For mother's day Donovin painted me this pot at school and put a flower in it. BEST PRESENT EVER! I loved the card too he got me!

Since we put the new driveway in we've been able to wash the cars at home! Thank goodness for the rain coat. Although I think Rain boots would have been better. Donovin loved playing the in water.

 

And he's not to shabby at washing mom's car either!

Driveway and Quilt

 

In my last post I told you how we're getting a new driveway. It's amazing what a difference it is already and it's not even finished!

Big leaf pile gone!

 Free dog house anyone?  This dog house creeps me out. I refuse to go near it. It's filled with trash and I'm afraid of what else it might be in it. My goal is that be the end of the summer this hideous thing is GONE!

I finished my first quilt probably like 2 months ago! Just took some pictures! It's perfect for the beach and summer. The pattern I used is yellow brick road. I used Michael Miller fabric. I ordered the fabric online from a cute store on Etsy that was all the way from Washington state!  I used a long arm quilting machine to finish quilting and hand bound the thing. Long arm good, hand binding not my favorite.  I can't wait to make another quilt.  Anyone want to loan me about 5k so I can buy a long arm? (that's used) someday when I'm older I'd like to buy one and make and sell these.  If I could only find a job in sewing/quilting. Life would be perfect

 See this hat. I made that too. Donovin needs a sun hat for the summer!  Fabric is from the same Michael Miller collection as the quilt. I was taking a weekly sit n sew class at Sanford Sewing but they canceled the Wednesday night class. I'm sad. Hopefully I'll be able to go to the one every other Friday. My teacher there is a saint and we've become good friends. She was such a huge help with the hat. Anyways people thought I bought the hat. Nope hand made! I see the flaws but maybe they don't!
